Privacy Policy
How Cayan handles information connected with this corporate website and direct email enquiries.
1. About this policy
Cayan Pty Ltd (Cayan, we, us or our) is an Australian network technology company. This policy explains how Cayan handles personal information connected with the corporate website at cayan.com.au and direct enquiries sent to info@cayan.com.au.
The website presents information about Cayan, Professional Services and IPAM365. It does not currently provide user accounts, online purchasing, a contact form or an enquiry portal.
2. Information we may handle
Information you provide by email
If you email Cayan, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, organisation, contact details, enquiry, email signature and attachments. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Ordinary website operation
The website application does not intentionally collect visitor information through forms, accounts, analytics or advertising technologies. As part of ordinary delivery, a hosting or network provider may process technical information such as an IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser or device information, and security or diagnostic records.
3. Why we handle information
Cayan may use information received through an email enquiry or ordinary website operation to:
- read, assess and respond to the enquiry;
- discuss potential Professional Services, product or partnership matters;
- administer a resulting business relationship under any separate agreement;
- maintain business, security and operational records; and
- meet legal or regulatory obligations and protect Cayan’s legitimate interests.
Cayan does not use this corporate website to sell or trade visitor personal information.
4. Disclosure and service providers
Cayan may disclose relevant information to people who support its operations, such as hosting, email, information technology and professional-advisory providers. Cayan may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to investigate security, fraud or misuse.
Service providers may process information in Australia or other countries, depending on the provider and configuration used. Cayan reviews its hosting, email and support arrangements and provides more specific information where required and practical.
5. Security and retention
Cayan takes reasonable steps appropriate to its circumstances to protect information it holds. No internet transmission, email system or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Cayan may retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, a related business relationship, security, record-keeping, dispute management or legal obligations. The applicable period depends on the information and context; this policy does not set a fixed retention period.
6. Access, correction and privacy concerns
You may ask Cayan to provide access to, or correct, personal information about you that Cayan holds. Cayan may need to verify your identity and may apply any exceptions available under applicable law.
You may also contact Cayan if you have a privacy question or concern. Please explain the information or conduct involved and, if relevant, the outcome you are seeking. Cayan will consider and respond to requests and concerns as required by applicable law.
Send requests and privacy enquiries to info@cayan.com.au.
7. Analytics, cookies and browser storage
Cayan does not currently use analytics, advertising pixels, session replay, marketing tags, non-essential cookies or browser storage on this corporate website. A cookie banner is therefore not currently used. Ordinary browser, network and hosting functions may still process technical request information as described above.
8. External websites
This website links to external websites, including the separate IPAM365 website. External websites have their own content, terms and privacy practices. This policy applies only to the Cayan corporate website and Cayan’s handling of information; it does not govern an external website.
9. Changes and contact
Cayan may update this policy when its website, business practices, providers or legal obligations change. The date shown on this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
